Play opens with a wager. The wager is the amount of money an unsuccessful Mystic Hi-Lo stands to lose in the instance their prediction does not happen. Cards valued one through twenty are in the Mystic Hi-Lo deck and players wager on the upcoming card, as appropriate. As players make correct predictions, the pot grows. The pot increases as players make accurate guesses on the value or color of an upcoming card.
Upon delivery of the sixth card in Mystic Hi-Lo, a player may change their card if they decide it is worthwhile to do so. Just like when the game begins, a player may see two alternate cards before being forced to settle with the third alternate card.
This reshuffling process again presents itself with the tenth FullTill card. As players guess correctly, the pot continues to build. A Mystic Hi-Lo player may choose to quit at any time. Players will get the opportunity to shuffle and receive alternate cards at the fifteenth and nineteenth cards, in the event they survive that long.
Mystic Hi-Lo players will additionally notice symbols on top of the cards in play. These symbols represent bonuses. The bonuses are collected every fifth card and really add up as the game progresses.
